Serving the public during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, the Nguyen Hue Flower Street in Ho Chi Minh City features a series of grand, original displays reflecting the nation’s cultural identity and festive spirit.

Under the theme “Spring of Unity – Steady Growth”, the 2026 flower street highlights the city’s historical milestones and new stature following its merger with Binh Duong and Ba Ria–Vung Tau provinces.

Spectacular horse-inspired installations

At the main entrance near the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, a golden horse statue inspired by the legendary Saint Giong dominates the scene. Standing 11 meters tall (including its base), the sculpture is motorized to move its head and legs, symbolically greeting visitors as it “rides into the sky.”

Further along the street, the centerpiece “The Leisurely Horse" impresses with a nearly 7-meter-tall structure crafted entirely from woven bamboo - a sustainable material representing harmony between humans and nature.

Nearby, workers adorn the display with orchids and colorful blossoms, enhancing its natural charm.

The “The Black Steed" installation showcases southern cultural motifs with lacquer-effect patterns resembling swirling clouds, while “The Crimson-Mane Horse" - inspired by the legend of Son Tinh and Thuy Tinh - features color-shifting paint that changes hue under light, creating a dynamic visual experience.

A fusion of tradition and innovation

Another highlight is the "Radiant Land of Memories" section, anchored by a 6-meter-high rotating lantern tower. The constantly spinning light installation evokes the nostalgic imagery of Vietnam’s traditional Tet festivals.

For the first time in its 23-year history, Nguyen Hue Flower Street integrates projection mapping technology, allowing images and animations to be projected onto curved and uneven surfaces such as the horse statues. When night falls, the entire street glows with dynamic lighting effects and immersive visuals.

Symbol of unity and renewal

At the street’s end, the grand finale “Splendid Homeland" gathers nine galloping horses, with three leading figures symbolizing the unified strength of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Ba Ria–Vung Tau - representing prosperity and collective progress.

This year’s event is the largest floral installation ever, featuring over 100,000 flower baskets of diverse species sourced from across Vietnam.

The Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2026 will officially welcome visitors from 7:00 p.m. on February 15 to 9:00 p.m. on February 22 (from the 28th day of the last lunar month to the 6th day of the new year).
