The book titled Toi Thay Hoa Vang Tren Co Xanh (I See Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass) by children’s best selling author Nguyen Nhat Anh is being introduced at the 2018 Frankfurt International Book Fair which runs October 9-14.
The Vietnam’s display booth presents to foreign readers Vietnamese books at the event, including Vua nham mat vua mo cua so (Open the windows, eyes closed) by Nguyen Ngoc Thuan, Nham mat thay Paris (Paris through closed eyes) and Oxford thuong yeu (Beloved Oxford) by Duong Thuy, Co dinh mot dam may (Holding a cloud) by Nguyen Ngoc Tu.
Additionally, writer Nguyen Ngoc Tu traveled to Germany to receive the Literaturpreis Prize 2018 for the German version of her book Canh Dong Bat Tan (Endless Field).
Toi thay hoa vang tren co xanh telling the childhood of two brothers in 1980s hit bookstores during its first week of publication in Vietnam and a further 5,000 copies had to be reprinted.The film Toi thay hoa vang tren co xanh (I see yellow flowers on the green grass) based on the hit novel, directed by Vietnamese American director Victor Vu was listed among the top 10 outstanding cultural events in Vietnam and won the important Golden Lotus prize at the 19th Vietnam Film Festival in 2016 and the Silver Kite award 2015.
Frankfurt International Book Fair is one of the world's largest trade fairs for books, attracting a large number of publishers from around the globe.
