The ancient town of Hoi An often sparkles with lantern festival on the Hoai River during the 14th day of lunar month. One event in particular,the ‘Night in the ancient town’, has attracted a large number of tourists.
The ‘Night in the ancient town’ cultural event has become a festival that has elevated the image of Hoi An as visitors flock to the city to take part in the occasion.
The Cau Pagoda sparkles during the event. A diverse folk performances from Hoi An were introduced at the festival. Artists delivered performances of Bai Choi, traditional and Tuong, a classical drama, to entertain the crowd. Traditional costumes of the 20th century were a feature at the event The streets were lit up majestically with lanterns.
