The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a storm warning that Nock-ten, a very strong typhoon has formed in the eastern sea area of the Philippines and is heading towards the East Sea.
The Centre forecast that it has maximum sustained winds speed of 20-25km per hour that are likely to intensify, causing rough seas and heavy rains over the East Sea on December 26.
The Centre also warned of a chilly spell hitting the northern localities of Vietnam on December 26 while torrential rains are forecast for December 27-31 in the central provinces that are likely to cause flash flooding.
