Starting from June 29, the heat wave will cover other areas, pushing average temperatures to 35-38 degrees. In the next three to five days, the highest temperatures could reach 38-40 degrees. The regions will experience from 12-16 hours of average temperatures above 35 degrees.

Hanoi has experienced temperatures of 36 degrees on June 28.

Heavy rains occurred in the Central Region and Central Highlands with 31mm of rainfall in Quang Binh's Kien Giang Town, 50mm in Quang Ngai's Binh Dong Commune and 41mm in Dak Lak's Ea Sol Commune. Heavy rains and thunderstorms are still being forecasted for the next 36 hours. Mountainous areas are advised to take measures to deal with and prepare for flashfloods and landslides.
