A new cold spell will hit the northern region from March 14.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting, on March 13, the northern region has had random rain from the early morning with average temperatures of 17 to 27 degrees.

The lowest temperature in the mountainous area is 13 degree. Due to the western winds, the Northwest region has a temperature of up to 32 degrees.

From March 14, a new cold spell will arrive in the northern region, bring heavy rains with it.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting, from March 13 to April 10, Vietnam will experience three to four more cold spells, however, most would not be particularly cold. They will last from four to five days, causing more rains and lower temperatures to the provinces in the northeast.

Average temperatures across Vietnam this year have been much higher than in previous years with decreasing total rainfall.
