The centre forecast that the temperature in Hanoi at night may drop by 2 degrees centigrade to 24 in the next 2-3 days. 

On October 11-12, a stronger cold spell will come to the northern region. The temperature can fall to 27 degrees centigrade during the daytime and 22 degrees centigrade. This will be the first cold snap of this year.

The weather in the northern region is quite cool with temperate ranging between 29 and 32 degrees centigrade with rains in Hanoi and northeastern localities.

The central provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh will continue having rains and strong winds in until October 10.

Landslides and floods have been warned in some areas in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.
