The fair attracted nearly 299 booths of more than 70 businesses and cooperatives in the Northwest region. Lai Chau province alone has 48 booths introducing typical agricultural and food products of local businesses and cooperatives. The booths display a variety of products, which are diverse in design and quality to meet the needs of production, consumption and export.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Giang A Tinh - Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee - emphasized that the fair is a very important event for Lai Chau province, which opens up opportunities to further promote connection, economic exchange, exploitation of potentials, advantages, investment cooperation to develop production and trade among provinces and cities in the Northwest region in the integration trend.
With the spirit of making effort, learning from others and integration for development, Lai Chau province wishes the fair to be organized successfully and bring the highest efficiency, meeting the goals of the National Program on Promotion Trade 2023 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, he said.
He added that through this event, Lai Chau province wishes to introduce and promote the most beautiful and authentic images of the land, the people, and unique cultural beauties, as well as its hospitality traditions and victories, majestic natural scenery to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists...
Mr. Le Hoang Tai - Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade – affirmed that the Northwest Industry and Trade Fair - Lai Chau 2023 is an important trade promotion activity of Lai Chau province and provinces in the northwestern region as a whole. It is also an effective bridge, an important trade promotion channel, creating conditions for businesses, cooperatives, localities... to meet, exchange, and find partners for business cooperation and development of sustainable agricultural consumption markets, promoting trade and tourism between the Northwest provinces as well as other provinces in the country.
The fair will take place from October 5 to 11.
