On the afternoon of July 18, 2024, the Party and State held a ceremony to award the Gold Star Order to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the 108 Central Military Hospital in Hanoi.
On behalf of Party and State leaders, Politburo member and President To Lam announced the decision to confer the order on Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and presented the Order to the Party chief.
The ceremony was attended by all members of the Political Bureau and the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, officials who are assisting the Party General Secretary, and representatives of his family.
The decision to award the Gold Star Order, the highest honour of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is the recognition of the Party, State and people for his great and exceptionally outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
