More than 50 photos featuring women’s nude bodies by 10 popular artists will be on show in downtown Hanoi between July 20 and 27.

The photos, which have been chosen by the culture ministry’s Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition, have been taken by photographers including Thai Phien, Duong Quoc Dinh, DzungArt Nguyen, and Le Quang Chau.

“Artful nude photography has been practiced by many Vietnamese and international artists,” department’s head Vi Kien Thanh said. “Some Vietnamese photographers have succeeded in this field though their works have just been officially permitted to be displayed in Viet Nam. The photos chosen express artistic features, visual effects, space, and impressive lighting to highlight female bodies’ beauty and bring audiences to esthetic and humane feelings. We host this event aiming to help audiences understand and enjoy esthetic and humane values.”

The exhibition will be open to the public between July 20 and 27 at Exhibition House, 29 Hang Bai Street.
