The seventh Hanoi Oktoberfest will be held at the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi’s lakeside from 6pm to midnight from Thursday October 6 to Saturday October 8, the German Business Association (GBA) has announced on September 7.
The GBA Oktoberfest in Ho Chi Minh City will be held at the Hotel Nikko Saigon's Nikko Garden for the first time in an authentic Bavarian beer tent for four days from Thursday September 29 to Sunday October 2.
With its unique Oktoberfest in Vietnam, GBA creates the authentic atmosphere found in the massive beer halls of the original Oktoberfest in Munich, rounded out with savory German cuisine, premium imported German brews, and a great party mood, with authentic Bavarian music from the Munich-based Oktoberfest Band.
“I am very proud that the GBA will be able to offer the most authentic Oktoberfest ever in Vietnam, both in Ho Chi Minh City and in Hanoi,” said Mr. Jens Rübbert, Chairman of GBA Vietnam.
Oktoberfest Vietnam this year will be a special social event gathering German, Vietnamese and international businesses as well as their staff and partners in Vietnam. Mr. Goeran Soelter, Director of Operations at the JW Marriott Hanoi, said: “There is no doubt that JW Marriott is definitely the best and biggest venue in Hanoi, with the stunning scenery to host one of the most successful events, highlighting the detail-oriented services provided from our experienced chefs.”
In its third year, the hotel’s team will continue to serve a variety of Bavarian specialties typically associated with Oktoberfest, including German sausages, pretzels and, of course, a mug of cold beer, along with fun games and prize draws.
GBA Oktoberfest Vietnam 2016 has attracted various official sponsors, including EuroAuto/BMW Importer, Deutsche Bank, DeutschesHaus Vietnam, FUSO, Kärcher, Lotus Green Technology, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam, Messer Hai Phong, Rieckermann, Theben Asia, Thyssenkrupp, Schenker, Siemens and World Cat Vietnam.
Ms. Duong Huong Ly, Director of Communications & Government Affairs at Siemens Ltd. Vietnam, the Platinum Sponsor of Oktoberfest in Vietnam this year, said: “Siemens industry solutions are helping breweries deliver top quality Oktoberfest beer and protect the environment at the same time. Our technology guarantees the same high quality at all times while reducing the amount of water and energy consumed in production by up to one third. Siemens Vietnam is proud to be a strong supporter of Oktoberfest since its very first days.”
She added that this is an opportunity not only to celebrate with Siemens’ customers but also to help promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Germany and Vietnam.
The first ever Oktoberfest was hosted in 1992, setting a new milestone in Vietnam’s social calendar. GBA has kept that spirit up and are excited to share German culinary history and music and the German Spirit and welcome you to experience the Bavarian Gemütlichkeit.
