The Hanoi August Old Book Fair will take place at the Culture and Arts Exhibition Centre between August 16 and 19.

The highlight of the fair will be a space for books and newspapers published in 1946 featuring the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

Booklovers will be able to find rare materials such as an edition of Su That newspaper from August 16, 1946, Lao Dong’s edition No 83 in 1949, Cuu Quoc’s edition No 813 in 1949 and Nhan Dan’s edition from September 2, 1952.

Various titles will be sold at prices ranging from VNĐ5,000-20,000 (US$0.2-0.8).

The books on offer at the fair will cover various fields like literature, history, business, military, medicine, comics and life skills.

Established stores such as Old Books at Cheap Prices, Trieu Hai Book Store, Kim Ma Old Books, Hai Ba Trung District’s Old Books, Phuc Cuong Old Books, Thai Ha Bookstore, Bach Mai Old Books and Duy Minh Old Books will all be present at the event at No 2 Hoa Lu Street, Hai Ba Trung District. — VNS
