Meanwhile Vietnamese chess mater Luong Phuong Hanh grabbed a draw when facing her Chinese rival.

However, other Vietnamese players, Pham Le Thao Nguyen and Vo Thi Kim Phung suffered losses to their Chinese rivals.

In total, the Vietnam team lost to China 1.5-2.5.

The Vietnam team will face the Ukraine team in the fourth round on June 20.
