Leaders of the HCMC Youth Business Association (YBA-HCMC) on October 9 held a press conference to announce the event, themed, “CEO 4.0 – Surf or Sink?”

This year’s theme was chosen based on hot issues expected to arise when Vietnam enters the digital transformation era and witnesses an explosive development in science and technology, with multiple innovations such as Big Data, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and fintech.

The event will also be attended by nearly 10 local and international speakers, who are high-ranking leaders from leading corporations, comprising Ernst & Young, Minh Long Company, technology firm VNG and Phu Nhuan Jewelry. In addition, their speeches are expected to be helpful and practical for medium and small-sized enterprises in the country.

According to the organization board, a sub-theme, “Innovative -- Informative – Interactive,” will be highlighted at the forum, marking the intent to share with the CEOs valuable information, global trends, new mindsets and comprehensive viewpoints and to help them answer questions on the opportunities and challenges Vietnamese CEOs face, ways to capitalize on the mega waves of technology and where CEOs should start in addressing problems and why.

This is the sixth time that the YBA-HCMC has hosted the Vietnam CEO Forum, which serves as a bridge connecting local CEOs with policymakers and economic experts to share and discuss new global trends and appropriate strategies in the digital age that will contribute to the development of local firms and Vietnam’s economy.

The annual event has been lauded by government officials, enterprise associations and professionals and has received recognition and encouragement from the HCMC People’s Committee. In addition, it has welcomed the participation of nearly 100 speakers and over 5,000 entrepreneurs at home and abroad.
