Since early December, residents of the city’s prominent parish neighborhoods have been busy adorning their streets with colorful lights and creative displays to celebrate the festive season.
On Le Van Sy Street in District 3, twinkling stars and festive lights brighten narrow alleys, where children laugh and play amidst the decorations.
“We start decorating together every December as a tradition,” shared Lai Minh, a resident of District 3. “It’s not only to create a welcoming space for visitors but also as a prayer for a peaceful and happy Christmas season.”
Alley 78, Chan Hung Street in Tan Binh District features a giant Santa Claus figure, delighting passersby. Decorations here are expected to remain in place until Epiphany, 40 days after Christmas.
Visitors like Phuong Ha and her friends take advantage of the unique settings to snap festive photos.
Dat Thanh Street (District 10) is known for its intricately designed nativity scenes and LED displays, thanks to experienced designers like Tran The Phuc, who transforms the narrow alleys into a Christmas wonderland within a week.
Residents of the parish on Pham The Hien Street (District 8), home to five parishes - Binh Thai, Binh An Thuong, Binh An Ha, Binh Thuan, and Binh Son - have transformed their streets with glowing stars and lights, creating a magical experience for visitors.
The beautifully decorated streets and alleys have become popular spots for people of all ages to capture holiday memories.
