During the past 30 years of renewal, the two countries have fully inherited and promoted the sound relationship founded by late Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Kaysone Phomvihane and nurtured by generations of leaders of both countries.

Expressing his sentiments towards the youth of both countries, he stressed that the youth is the backbone of a country and the pioneering force of the revolution as well as a great part of the current society, the subject to create the future and the future owners of the nation.

He urged youngsters of both nations to work hard to improve their knowledge and morality, becoming a high quality workforce that play a driving role for the success of the industrialisation and modernisation in each country as well as the stronger Vietnam-Laos special ties in the new period.

Leaders put strong trust on the youth, he affirmed, expressing his hope that the youngsters will increase exchange, while maintaining and promoting the priceless treasure of the faithful and pure ties between Vietnam and Laos.

Founded in 1996, the National University of Laos is the only national university of the Southeast Asian country. It has provided courses in 11 majors, including economics and business administration, architecture, engineering, agriculture and education.
