Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh hosted a reception in Hanoi on September 28 for Lao Minister of Home Affairs Khamman Sounvileuth, who is leading a high-ranking delegation to visit Vietnam.

Chinh congratulated Laos on its immense achievements in the past years, particularly after over one year implementing the resolution of the Lao People Revolutionary Party (LPRP)’s 10th Congress.

He affirmed that Vietnam always supports Laos in its reform process and believed that under the leadership of the LPRP, the country will gain further achievements and become a more prosperous nation.

Chinh briefed his guest of Vietnam’s socio-economic performance, and Party building and personnel work of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV). He stressed that both sides need to effectively implement agreements signed between the two Parties and states with focus on deepening the cooperative ties.

Promoting collaboration in Party building and personnel training should be paid due attention, Chinh stressed, adding that the move will foster the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, Khamman Sounvileuth expressed his belief that under the leadership of the CPV, Vietnam will reap more impressive achievements and informed the Vietnamese official of his country’s Party building and political system development process.

Laos will join hands with Vietnam to preserve and bolster the Vietnam-Laos special solidarity, he added.
