Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh hosted a reception in Hanoi on July 18 for Kawai Katsuyuki, Special Advisor to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Chinh, who is also Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group, spoke highly of the contributions of PM Abe and other Japanese leaders to strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in connecting the two economies. 

He wished that Japan would further enhance bilateral cooperation and investment to maintain its position as one of the leading trade partners with Vietnam. 

Vietnam would continue providing support for Japanese investors, he said. 

Katsuyuki, for his part, said PM Abe and Japanese leaders always give high priority to ties with Vietnam in diverse areas, especially in refining mechanisms, reforming administrative procedures, developing infrastructure, and training high-quality human resources. 

He expressed wish to continue working closely with Vietnam to contribute to maintaining peace, stability, security, safety, and prosperity in the region and the world.
