The accident occurred at Km472 of National Highway 37, in the area of Mat Sang village, Phieng Pan commune.
The vehicle, bearing license plate 29F-016.xx, was navigating the mountainous route when it lost control and overturned. Photos from the scene show the bus lying on its side with significant structural damage.
Local emergency services and traffic police quickly arrived on the scene, coordinating with commune officials to carry out rescue operations. The 11 injured passengers were immediately transported to the Phieng Pan Commune Medical Station for emergency care. Those requiring advanced treatment will be transferred to higher-level hospitals.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. Initial reports note that weather conditions in the northwest region of Vietnam on the morning of January 5 included rain and thick fog, which may have caused slippery roads and limited visibility - likely contributing factors to the incident.
