A pedestrian is killed after being hit by a train near a crossing in Hanoi's Le Duan Street on February 5.
The accident occurred at 3.40 pm on February 5 when the man was entering an illegal train crossing on Le Duan Street.
A witness, Ha Thi Huong, said that she was standing at a shop near the railway when she saw the man being hit and caught under the train's wheels.
"He was dragged for more than a hundred metres before the train stopped," Huong said, adding that they then rushed to pull his body out before police arrived.

According to the train's driver, they were arriving Hanoi Station when the man used an illegal crossing and hit by the train.
There have been many accidents in the densely populated areas along the railway in Le Duan Street in Hanoi, which are mostly caused by people's lack of attention when crossing the railway.
Last October, a woman and her motorbike were also hit badly and dragged some 20 metres by a train when she was trying to cross the railway. Luckily she survived.
