VietNamNet Bridge - The authorities and people in the central province of Nghe An tried their best to rescue a giant whale that was stranded in Dien Thinh commune, Dien Chau district this morning.

At around 4 a.m. on May 25, local people found the giant whale on the shore. It is about 15 meters long, weighing tens of tonnes.

Two excavators were sent in to help bring the whale back to the sea. The rescue mission took place for several hours. At 11am, the whale was back to the ocean.

Hundreds of people cheer for the success of the rescue mision.
