Personnel matter will be a focus at the National Assembly on October 24, the fourth working day of the NA’s 6th session. 

At the beginning of the morning session, the NA will hear a report on the outcome of group discussions on the appointment of a new Minister of Information and Communication.

The day before, the NA approved through voting the removal of Truong Minh Tuan from the post of Minister of Information and Communication and passed a resolution on the removal.

The NA will then cast their vote on the appointment of the new minister. A resolution on the NA’s approval of the appointment is expected to be passed after the announcement of the result of vote counting. 

In the afternoon, the NA will hear a draft list of officials to be subject to the vote of confidence. Deputies will vote to approve the list, and then discuss in groups issues related to the vote of confidence, which is expected to be carried out on October 25.- VNA
