VietNamNet Bridge – The Vietnam National Oil and Gas Corporation (PetroVietnam)  appointed four deputy general directors, including Mr. Nguyen Quynh Lam, Mr. Le Minh Hong, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thap and Mr. Nguyen Sinh Khang.

The new face among the four officials is Lam, who was previously Director of Phu Quoc Oil and Gas Company (Phu Quoc POC).

The two others – Thap and Khang - were re-appointed while Hong’s duration was prolonged.

According to the latest report on PetroVietnam’s operations in the first half of 2016, the group garnered more than $2.4 billion from selling 8.68 million tons of crude oil and condensate, fulfilling 37percent of the yearly target.

During this period, the group provided an estimated 3.73 million tons of crude oil for the Dung Quat Oil Refinery, raking in $1.58 billion, equivalent to 38.13 percent of the target set for the whole year.

It is expected to deliver 7.09 million tons of crude oil and condensate in the last two quarters of this year, including 3.5 million tons to the Dung Quat Oil Refinery.

Last year PetroVietnam grossed $25.2 billion in revenues despite global declining oil prices. Over the past five years, the group contributed $37.62 billion to the State budget.
