Under the decision, people are not allowed to take their pets to the area. The ban is also applied for vendors and fishing activities in Hoan Kiem Lake.

People are also prohibited from using speakers, radios and drums on pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake.

Shops have to make public their service prices and are banned from inviting customers with insistence or overcharging them.

Parking lots in the area must be licensed.

Hanoi’s authorities sought opinions from the public on the regulations for Hoan Kiem pedestrian street area management in September 2020.

Pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake have been reopened since March 18 following a long suspension due to Covid-19. The pedestrian area is open from 7 pm on Friday until late Sunday every week.
