The event was held at Ho Chi Minh City Children's Palace on Vo Thi Sau Street in District 3.

Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Vo Thi Dung and some other leaders of the city came to attend the event and gave presents to couples.

Couples joining in the event will be presented with wedding rings, clothes, make-up services, photo albums, and parties. They will also be supported with guidance on family life.

Five couples with the most difficult living conditions will get housing support for a year.

Couples placed flowers at a statue of President Ho Chi Minh.

They then joined in a bike parade held at the event.

The group wedding is an annual event held by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union to support couples in financial difficulty and to promote a savings culture. 922 couples have taken part in group weddings over the past 12 years. They are normally workers and people with disabilities.
