Various cafes have been opened on the rooftops of high-rise buildings near Tan Son Nhat Airport in HCM City to attract customers who want to watch planes fly by.

Quang Trung Street in Go Vap District is known as the best place for plane-watching cafes. Many rooftops have been rented in long-term contracts.

According to a cafe owner, the rental prices are more expensive than other cafes but they don't need complicated decorations or high investment. Most cafes are outdoor with simple chairs and tables that can withstand the weather.

Nguyen Van Manh, a local in Go Vap District said he often went plane-watching with his family during the weekends. The drinks are also only around VND20,000 to VND50,000 and customers can stay for hours.

The cafes are often crowded in the evening and have become a gathering place for many amateur and professional photographers.
