VietNamNet Bridge - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has nominated the Vice Chair of the Central Committee for Propaganda and Information – Mr. Nguyen Van Nen as the new Chair of the Government Office and the Government spokesman, replacing Mr. Vu Duc Dam who was ratified by the National Assembly as Deputy PM this morning.

This morning, shortly after the National Assembly agreed to dismiss Vu Duc Dam from the Chairmanship of the Government Office, PM Dung proposed the National Assembly to consider Nen as the successor.
The National Assembly will consider the PM’s proposal and the voting results will be available on the morning of November 14.
Nen, born in 1957, a native of Go Dau district, Tay Ninh province, is a bachelor of law. Ninh’s working process was mainly in his hometown. He undertook many positions in the administration of Go Dau district and then of Tay Ninh province.
In 2010, Nen became a member of the Central Party Committee, served as Party Secretary of Tay Ninh. A year later he was appointed Deputy Chief of the Steering Committee of the Central Highlands Region. From March 2013, Nen has been the Vice Chair of the Central Committee for Propaganda and Information.
If the proposal is approved, the cabinet of PM Dung will have another member who used to be the deputy chief of the Central Committee for Propaganda and Information. Mr. Nguyen Bac Son - Minister of Information and Communications – used to assume this position.
