The two government officials co-chair the workshop

The Vietnamese Government Office and the Lao Prime Minister Office held a workshop in Luang Prabang province in northern Laos on March 27 to enhance their staff’s professional skills.

The event, the fourth of its kind, aims to implement the collaboration plan between the two countries’ government offices for the 2016-2017 period, Minister and Chairman of the Vietnamese Government Office Mai Tien Dung said.

The workshop is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation and the 55th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties, he said.

The two sides exchanged experience in building working plans and organizing meetings for the Government, as well as in drafting and revising laws and regulations. They also compared notes on how to supervise the implementation of the tasks assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister to ministries, agencies, provincial People’s Committees, and organizations.

The handling of petitions and proposals submitted by businesses was also on the agenda.
