Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and a high-level Vietnamese delegation arrived in Switzerland late on January 17 to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2017 from January 17-21.
The PM is scheduled to address several plenary sessions following themes such as shaping the future of the production system in view of regional strategy, the responsive and responsible leadership in a multi-polar world, and strong governance in the fourth industrial revolution.
He is due to have a series of bilateral meetings with WEF President Klaus Schwab, President of Switzerland Doris Leuthard, and leaders of participating countries, international organisations, and global leading groups.
This year, the WEF event brings together 3,000 participants, including 50 State leaders, government officials from 70 countries worldwide, and representatives from international organisations, such as the United Nations and the World Trade Organisation.
Lasting through January 20, the meeting consists of 446 sessions, discussing the global matters, such as inclusive growth, the fourth industrial revolution, international cooperation models and immigration.
