Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has underlined that the Government,ministries, sectors and localities of Vietnam are always willing to meet and talk with investors from the Republic of Korea (RoK), listening to their feedback and providing optimal conditions for their operations.

Meeting the RoK Ambassador to Vietnam Kim Do-hyun in Hanoi on February 20, the PM noted that the Vietnam-RoK partnership is developing comprehensively in all fields, especially in economics, trade and investment, education and training, and security and defence.

Lauding the contributions of the ambassador towards promoting the bilateral strategic partnership, the PM expressed his hope that in the future, Kim will continue helping to connect RoK enterprises with Vietnamese peers.

For his part, Ambassador Kim held that the development potential of Vietnam remains huge thanks to the Vietnamese Government’s efforts in promoting socio-economic development.

The diplomat said that RoK businesses, including leading groups such as Samsung, are very interested in expanding investment and operations in Vietnam, focusing on high technology electronics and infrastructure development.

Many RoK enterprises are looking to invest further in the central region of Vietnam where the development potential is high, he said.

Kim also told his host that the RoK, with its high demand for human resources in healthcare and care work for the elderly, hopes to cooperate with Vietnam in these fields.

The ambassador also expressed his hope that Vietnam will successfully host the second US-DPRK summit in Hanoi, describing the hosting as a practical and responsible contribution of Vietnam to the international community, as well as the promotion of conciliation and peace in the world.–VNA
