Phuc claims he was chosen to connect with source energy in outer space and bring energy to human bodies, upgrade brain activity frequency, and activate stem cells, thus helping perfect human's physical and mental well-being.

When disseminating theory about energy sources, Phuc mentions content related to spirituality and belief, and the perception that there is an invisible world accompanying every human life. He says diseases and other problems that exist in life are the results of karma that people create in their previous incarnations. 

According to a representative of the department, Phuc has been expanding the sphere of operation of his NLG-Energy Source team. In addition to claims to cure all diseases, Phuc also makes corrupt use of religious teachings to propagate superstitious statements, luring a high number of Vietnamese to learn and receive the energy source and participate in the activities of the team.

MPS has instructed its units to cooperate with local police to conduct verification and handle administrative violations of subjects inducing other people to gather for illegal activities.

MPS has also discussed and cooperated with state management agencies to determine the nature of the activities with superstitious elements as the basis for authorities at different levels to persuade people not to believe false statements.

The ministry has asked local police to check information related to activities to persuade concerned organizations and individuals to comply with the law, not to commit acts that cause complications to social security and order.

Regarding information that there are signs of NLG-Energy Source committing fraud and appropriating assets, MPS is clarifying information. If the information is true and violations of the laws are found, MPS will instruct its units to investigate and handle the cases in accordance with the law.

NLG-Energy Source is a team founded by Le Van Phuc, advertised as capable of curing all diseases, including cancer and Covid-19. Over many years, the team has induced tens of thousands of learners throughout the country to training courses and turn them into active propagandists. 

Generating revenue through a contingent of “servants”, the team has earned a large amount of money from selling books, organizing seminars abroad, selling NLG food and calling for support. More dangerously, many patients believe in the NLG-Energy Source’s capability of curing diseases, refuse medical treatment, and rely on the "energy source".
