Vice Chairwoman of Vietnam’s National Assembly (NA) Tong Thi Phong has affirmed the role of multilateral co-operation in the region and the world in the context of rapid and complex global developments.

Vietnam and Germany set up diplomatic relations on September 23, 1975. The ties were elevated to a strategic partnership in October 2011. Germany has become Vietnam’s top trade partner in the EU.

The trade volume between Saudi Arabia and Vietnam has witnessed impressive growth. Last year, the trade exchange reached about US$1.81 billion. The current volume stands at nearly $1.05 billion.
