Tran Anh Tien holds a master's degree in economics. Before his appointment as Deputy Minister-Chair of the Government Office, he served as Director General of the Personnel and Organization Department and later as Director General of the General Economic Affairs Department under the Government Office.

The Minister-Chair of the Government Office is Dang Xuan Phong. The six Deputy Minister-Chairs are Do Ngoc Huynh, Pham Manh Cuong, Nguyen Van Thang, Don Tuan Phong, Tran Anh Tien and Mai Thi Thu Van.

The Government Office is a ministerial-level agency that assists the Government and the Prime Minister. It serves as the central advisory and coordinating body for the Government, the Prime Minister and deputy prime ministers, oversees administrative procedure control, provides information to support direction and administration, and ensures the material and technical conditions necessary for the Government's operations.
