Le Dinh Tho, former member of the Party Personnel Committee and former Deputy Minister of Transport, has been issued a reprimand for violations committed during his term.

This action follows the decision issued by the Central Inspection Commission on November 25, 2024.

Findings from the Central Inspection Commission

At its 50th session, the Central Inspection Commission reviewed findings from investigations into violations within the Ministry of Transport’s Party Personnel Committee during the 2021–2026 term.

The commission identified several breaches, including violations of the principles of democratic centralism and working regulations.

The Party Personnel Committee was found to have lacked responsibility and leadership oversight, enabling violations of party rules and state laws in the implementation of projects and bidding packages managed by Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company.

Some officials and party members, including key personnel, violated anti-corruption, anti-waste, and anti-negligence laws, as well as regulations on ethical conduct and leadership accountability.

These violations resulted in severe consequences, including potential significant financial and property losses to the state, damaging public trust and tarnishing the reputation of the party and government agencies.

Le Dinh Tho’s responsibility

As a former member of the Party Personnel Committee and Deputy Minister of Transport, Le Dinh Tho was held personally accountable for these violations and shortcomings.

After considering the nature, extent, and impact of the violations, the Central Inspection Commission decided to impose a reprimand, a disciplinary measure aligned with party regulations.
