A corner of the music classroom

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Van, head master of the Foreign Language Specialized School (FLSS) under Hanoi-based University of Languages and International Studies, noted that the establishment of the music classroom, advocated by parents, helps realize the high school’s extended plan of building and implementing a professional music training program for students.

Van stressed that the music classroom offers a chance for FLSS students to enroll in professional music and instrument courses under the guidance of domestic and foreign artists. It also enables them to learn more musical knowledge and update the music development of many countries around the world.

The music training program marks the FLSS efforts to enhance comprehensive education for students, looking to train them into global citizens, the head master said.

The professional music curriculum is compiled in conformity with those from developed countries like Japan, the Republic of Korea (RoK), and the United States.

It will be directly implemented by artists from Sun Symphony Orchestra and Anh Dao (Cherry) Art Center in Hanoi. They include six domestic artists and two others from Japan and the RoK.
