An educational programme entitled “I Am an Archaeologist,” held every Sunday at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi, allows schoolchildren to acquire some first-hand experience of archaeology.

The programme, first launched in 2013, is organised by the Thang Long–Hanoi Heritage Conservation Centre under the support of the UNESCO Office in Hanoi.

It aims to raise the young generation’s awareness of the value of the citadel’s heritage and the importance of preserving and promoting it, as well as to equip them with a basic knowledge of archaeology.
