Nikkei Asian Review magazine has released a list of 50 most valuable companies in Southeast Asia in 2015 with PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV Gas) standing at 48.
Nikkei Asian Review reported that PV Gas- a gas production and trade enterprise- currently holds 70% of domestic gas market shares with a total capitalization of US$9.43 billion and a net profit of US$584 million.
Last May, PV Gas was named among 2,000 world’s biggest public companies (Global 2000) by Forbes.
PV Gas was also cited as top three largest gas companies in ASEAN, trailed by Thai PTT Public Company Ltd and PTT subsidiary – PTTEP.
One hundred biggest ASEAN companies included 25 from Singapore, 22 from Malaysia, 25 from Indonesia, 22 from the Philippines, 25 from Thailand and five from Vietnam (PV GAS, Vinamilk, VietcomBank, FPT and Vingroup).
