Grandmaster Le Quang Liem has retained position No. 30 in the latest International Chess Federation rankings for October with an Elo rating of 2,723.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son stands at No. 148 in the world with an Elo rating of 2,629. Nguyen Huynh Minh Huy and Nguyen Anh Khoi have registered Elo ratings of 2,449 and 2,459 respectively. 

Female chess player Hoang Thanh Trang, who plays for a Hungarian team, has moved up four notches to No. 21 in the world after earning good scores at the recently concluded Chess Olympiad. 

Three young Vietnamese players are included in the top 100 male young chess players in the world – Tran Tuan Minh City (Elo 2,468), Le Tuan Minh City (Elo 2,465), and Nguyen Anh Khoi (Elo 2,459).
