The 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival which will be held from June 9 -14 will feature various cultural and entertainment activities.

The festival will be held in Hoi An Town, Tam Ky City and various districts and communes including Duy Xuyen, Dien Ban, Tay Giang, Phu Ninh, Tien Phuoc and Nam Tra My. The opening ceremony will be held at Tam Thanh Beach in Tam Ky City and the closing ceremony will be held by Hoai River, Hoi An.
The organisers said the event will highlight Vietnamese culture and arts and culture of other countries
One of the first event to start the festival is the International Choir Festival and Competition in Hoi An from June 7 to 10. About 32 choirs with 1,500 singers from 15 countries will participate in the event. Visitors can also explore the instruments, costumes, and performing styles of the artists on the streets at night.
The International Kite Festival which will take place in Cam Nam Ward and Tam Thanh Beach in Hoi An lasts from June 8 to 11. The kite festival this year welcomes 90 local and 28 international craftsmen with 300 kites.
International Culinary Festival will be an ideal place for local and international chefs to exchange and visitors can also attend the International Silk - Brocade Festival.
Asides from the usual historic sites like the Ky Anh Tunnel, Tam Ky City will host a series of events this June. Some of them are Bai Choi Singing and an exhibition on sea and island cultural heritage.

Several sports activities like a yacht race with hundreds of participants from 30 countries will be held at An Bang Beach in Hoi An. Meanwhile, the open national kayaking will be organised at Phu Ninh Lake.
The organisers will also introduce Ngoc Linh ginseng and cultures of the ethnic groups through games and exhibitions about Cham culture.
During the festival, a conference about preserving the heritage and develop the tourism of the central region and Central Highlands will be held. The authorities will sign co-operation between foreign cities and issue a Hoi An Declaration on the conservation of historic districts in the Asia region.
