VietNamNet Bridge – In Binh Chuong commune of Binh Son district in the central province of Quang Ngai, locals have thrown hundreds of dead chickens into the Thach Nham canal.

Quang Ngai province is dealing with H5N6 flu epidemic on poultry, which killed thousands of chickens.

Despite the local government’s efforts in raising awareness of people on obeying provisions of the Ordinance on Animal Health, some people threw hundreds of dead chicken into a local canal named Thach Nham.  

The ugly act has caused environmental pollution and increased the risk of spreading disease as the canal runs through several communes.

The local veterinary forces fished out at least 600 dead chickens from the canal for burial.  

The local authorities are also looking for the violators.
