The Office of the Quang Tri People’s Committee has issued a notice to provincial departments and agencies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and provincial socio-political organizations, public service units under the provincial administration, and Party committees and People’s Committees at the commune, ward and special-zone levels.

The notice asks them not to organize delegations to visit or present flowers to congratulate the province’s new chairman.

Following a Politburo decision assigning and transferring him to a new position in Quang Tri, Phuong was elected chairman of the provincial People’s Committee by the provincial People’s Council.

He thanked agencies, organizations, local authorities and individuals for their attention and goodwill.

However, in line with Party and state regulations on thrift, preventing waste and avoiding unnecessary formalities, and to ensure congratulatory visits do not interfere with working time or official duties, Phuong asked that no delegations be organized to visit him or present flowers.

Instead, the chairman said he hoped the goodwill and support of agencies, organizations, local authorities and individuals would be demonstrated through stronger leadership, significant improvements in management practices and the effective implementation of assigned tasks.

He also called on agencies and organizations to strengthen solidarity and coordination and work toward fulfilling the province’s political goals and responsibilities, contributing to efforts to build a stronger and more effective provincial Party organization and political system.
