The People’s Committee of the central province of Quang Tri has decided to build a hydropower plant worth nearly 600 billion VND ($26.4 million) in Huong Hoa district.
The Huong Phung hydropower plant, covering 67.5 hectares in Huong Phung commune, will have two turbines with a combined capacity of 18 MW. Once operational, it will generate 76.8 million kWh per year.
The 30-year project will be implemented by Quang Tri Energy JSC. Investment procedures and clearance work for the project will be completed by the end of September.
Construction is expected to start in October this year. It will be connected to the national power grid in the first quarter of 2021.
Huong Phung is an extremely difficult commune, therefore, the investor enjoy several incentives, in terms of corporate tax, and land rental and land using tax.-VNA
