Vietnam’s Que Anh, along with contestants from around the globe, lit up the stage with dazzling displays of traditional attire at Miss Grand International 2024.
On the evening of October 20, the National Costume segment of Miss Grand International 2024 took place in Bangkok, Thailand.
A total of 69 contestants showcased unique traditional outfits, reflecting the cultural essence and beauty of their respective countries.
Vietnam's representative, Vo Le Que Anh, wowed the audience with the "Mother-of-Pearl Inlay" design by designer Nguyen Ngoc Tu.
The costume stood out for its intricate patterns that symbolized Vietnamese craftsmanship. Despite the costume's bulky structure, with four large panels on her back, Que Anh confidently strutted across the stage, gracefully twirling a fan, creating a mesmerizing visual effect.

The vibrant atmosphere and enthusiastic support from the audience energized the contestants. While some struggled with large costumes, they quickly regained composure and confidently completed their performances.
Pimai Vongsomphou (Laos) - in a costume depicting the "Land of a Million Elephants," featuring three large elephants combined with imagery from the ancient Wat Phou temple.
Maria Jose Vera from Ecuador captivated the audience with multiple props and continuous costume transformations, maintaining grace despite the elaborate design.
Miss UK - Amy Viranya Berry - transformed into the White Queen from "Alice in Wonderland."Miss Spain, Susana Medina embodied the "Goddess Lynxes," inspired by the Iberian lynx. The design emphasized strength and called for the protection of this endangered species. Paraguay's Sharon Capo Nara stunned as she represented the mythical Guarani monsters. Guatemala's Cristina Gonzalo portrayed a jaguar, highlighting her country's majestic wildlife with graceful movements. Rachel Gupta from India, dazzled with her "Goddess Ganga" inspired outfit, demonstrating elegance and grandeur. Japan's Luma Naomi Shigemitsu charmed the audience as a nine-tailed fox, dressed in a traditional kimono paired with a classic Japanese parasol. Canada's Alivia Croal sent a powerful message on environmental protection, incorporating maple leaves and flames to symbolize forest conservation and fire prevention. Indonesia's Nova Liana presented a design inspired by the architecture and cuisine of Masakan Padang. Her performance included a unique transformation revealing a display of traditional dishes.
Thailand's Malin Sae-lim depicted the mythical figure Rahu swallowing the moon, a symbol associated with lunar eclipses in Southeast Asian mythology.
Elsa Alijaj from Albania showcased a gentle charm while performing a traditional dance.
Contestants from Nicaragua, Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia, and El Salvador brought Latin American culture to life with vibrant feathered costumes and symbolic elements.
After the National Costume Show, contestants at Miss Grand International 2024 will prepare for two key events: the semifinal on October 22 and the final on October 25. The reigning Miss Grand International 2023, Lucia Fuster from Peru, will officially crown her successor.
