Initial information indicates that around 2 PM on July 28, the SE11 train, locomotive 976, pulling 12 carriages, was carrying many passengers from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City.

While moving from Lang Co station (Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue) towards Da Nang city, the train unexpectedly derailed.

At the scene, carriages 11725 and 31591, positioned 10th and 11th in the train, derailed with four axles off the tracks.

A passenger on the train reported that around 2:30 PM, the train came to an abrupt stop. Looking outside, he saw one of the carriages had derailed and tilted to the right at a 45-degree angle. Many train staff were seen moving passengers' belongings, luggage, and goods outside.
