On December 5, Google released its Year in Search 2025 list, featuring ten categories: “Top Trends”, “Image Creation”, “Film (General)”, “Vietnamese Film”, “Concert”, “Song”, “News”, “How-to”, “What is”, and “Travel”. The list highlights the most searched topics and trends that captured Vietnamese users’ attention throughout 2025.

“Vietnamese users don’t just rely on Google to find information and acquire knowledge. They also use it to reconnect with their roots, express personal identity, and demonstrate national pride through their entertainment and lifestyle choices,” said Mark Woo, Country Director of Google Vietnam.

One of the most striking trends this year was the shift in how Vietnamese people approached and applied artificial intelligence. Instead of asking “What is AI?”, they now searched for specific applications and features like “how to make videos with AI” or “create images with AI”.

Keywords such as DeepSeek, ChatGPT, Women in STEM, and Gemini topped Google’s “Top Trends” category. Among AI image generation tools, users were especially interested in learning how to create snow scenes, portraits, and toy boxes.

According to Google, the 2025 search trends reveal strong interest in locally produced content. This was evident in the dominance of Vietnamese films and songs in categories like “Top Trends”, “Film (General)”, and “Song”.

With a year full of major political, cultural, and artistic events, it comes as no surprise that names like Red Rain, National Concert, and Bac Bling ranked at the top of the relevant search categories.
