Three wild monkeys have just been released after being kept captive for more than 10 years in Ha Tinh Province.
Three wild monkeys have been released back to wild after being kept by a family in Ha Tinh Province for more than 10 years.
Environment police in the province said on April 5 that they rescued three wild rare monkeys which have been kept by a local family for the past 10 years.
"They included two pigtail monkeys and one red-faced, weighing from 13-18 kilos each," police said. "They all belong to 2B group of rare wild animals which need urgent protection."
The monkeys were found at the house of Nguyen Van Dung in Bac Ha Ward on April 3. Dung said that they have been raising them for more than 10 years.
The man agreed to transfer the animals to the police. After a health check-up, the monkeys were released into Ngan Pho Forest.
