According to Box Office Vietnam, Red Rain is now the second Vietnamese film in 2025 to surpass the 300 billion VND threshold, after The Avenging Quartet by Tran Thanh, which currently holds the top spot with 332 billion VND.

Red Rain, directed by Dang Thai Huyen, is now the highest-grossing historical war film in Vietnamese cinema history. It is expected to double the lifetime gross of The Tunnel: Sun in the Shadows, which previously held the record with 172 billion VND.

With this momentum, Red Rain is forecasted to surpass The Avenging Quartet by September 1, making it the biggest box office hit of 2025.

The film’s success is further fueled by its ongoing cinetour campaign, as the cast and crew travel nationwide to promote it during the National Day holiday on September 2. With strong audience engagement and growing hype, Red Rain is on track to dethrone Mai and become the highest-grossing Vietnamese film of all time.
