Karolina Bielawska, Miss World 2021, first came to Vietnam in July last year, to attend the final night of Miss World Vietnam 2022.

Bielawska arrived at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of July 20. She then traveled to Quy Nhon city in Binh Dinh province which is hosting the contest’s final round, according to information given by the organisers of Miss World Vietnam 2023.

This marks the third time that the Polish beauty has visited Vietnam. She first came to Vietnam in July, 2022, to attend the final night of Miss World Vietnam 2022.

Later in September last year Bielawska went back to Ho Chi Minh City to join a fund-raising auction for Beauty with Purpose, whose founder is Julia Morley, chairman and CEO of Miss World Foundation.

She also took part in a charity project launched by Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong, Miss World Vietnam 2022.

Bielawska, 24, was crowned Miss World 2021 to become the second titleholder from Poland. In addition, she was also the winner of Miss Grand Slam 2021, a poll ran on famous website on international beauty pageants Global Beauties, to choose the beauty queens of beauty queens in the world.

Miss World Vietnam 2023 is taking place underway at MerryLand Quy Nhon in the southcentral province of Binh Dinh. The top 40 finalists took part in a series of activities in the final round, including the Sports Beauty Contest, the Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest, Beach Beauty, and many charity activities.

The contest was held for the first time back in 2019 to seek a Vietnamese representative for the Miss World beauty pageant. Women aged 18 to 27 who are at least 1.65 metres tall and have had no cosmetic surgery are eligible to enter the contest. Participation is limited to unmarried women who have never given birth. 

The previous Miss World Vietnam 2022 contest was also held in Binh Dinh's Quy Nhon. Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong, a student from Dong Nai province was crowned winner after beating 36 contestants in the pageant finale.  

Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, 21, from Can Tho, a student at the International Faculty of Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City was the first runner-up. She was also the winner of Miss Intercontinental 2022.

The second runner-up was Thanh Hoa native Nguyen Phuong Nhi, aged 20.
