Immediately after the ceremony, leaders and people of both sides witnessed the opening of the two border gates for transportation of goods.
The Xin Man – Dulong border gate pair came into operation in 2018.
After more than 3 years of temporary suspension of operations due to the Covid-19 pandemic, to create favorable conditions for immigration and import and export of goods through the Vietnam - China border, the Xin Man (Vietnam) – Dulong (China) border gate pair has officially been resumed operation under the minutes signed on February 16, 2023 between the Management Board of the Ha Giang Provincial Economic Zone (Vietnam) and the People's Government of Maguan County (China).
As a mountainous province with hundreds of kilometers border with China, Ha Giang province currently has the 4 main border gates of Thanh Thuy, Xam Pun, Xi Man and Pho Bang.
The goods exported through border gates of Ha Giang province are mainly agricultural products; imported goods are mainly machinery components.
The restoration of customs clearance of the Xin Man – Dulong border gate pair is an event of particular importance, which marks the prosperity in the friendly relationship, cooperation and mutual development between the two sides, making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the two localities, building Solidarity - Friendship - Cooperation for mutual development between the two sides.
