Update news rice market
The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) fears the high level of rice imports and the failure to control imports will affect domestic production.
The government has decided that Vinafood 1, together with Vinafood 2, will be the two leads to conduct negotiations and make direct transactions with highly concentrated rice markets (where there are few exporters of rice).
VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam unfortunately sold much of its rice before the global rice market began recovering, with export prices increasing by $10 per ton.
VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese exporters have won the bid to provide 800,000 tons of rice to the Philippines, thanks to low bids.
“People tend to take reasons to keep local interests. If determining the ultimate benefit as national interests and the interests of farmers, we can do it,” Professor Vo Tong Xuan said about the export of rice.
